Injections
Health Department registered nurses are able to administer routine injections with medicine ordered by a physician, such as Vitamin B-12 injections. Seasonal flu vaccine is also offered in the fall. The pneumonia vaccine is also available for administration. A seasonal flu shot is recommended for all individuals age 6 months and older and the pneumonia shot is suggested once before the age of 65 and once after the age of 65, but can be administered every 5 years.
